Ease: It's a State of Mind

I was originally intending to title this page: Day Off (and then not write anything else). Because I took the day "off" due to demands of the body. For over a week I've been working at almost full tilt, even with a raging cold that came home with me from the Chicago trip. Today, it was if the body said, "No More", and kind of shut down. I had to surrender.

Anyway, I'm committed to documenting the process of re-building this site from the ground up. So here's what I"ll say publicly about today:

I can frame this project any way I want, and I choose ease. And so I took a day off, because I am the boss, after all.

Then, on my time "off", because I was out of my normal routine, some serendipitous encounters and resulting ideas blossomed from seemingly out of nowhere. I write more about this nitty gritty of my own inner process / dance with The Resistance / creative demons / resulting revelations, etc. in Sketchbooks, if you care about those sorts of things.

The photo was taken yesterday, when I was wanted to remind myself that ease is a state of mind. There was someone at my Chicago workshop with a lovely wrist tattoo of a beautifully scrolled message, and because I'm into impermanence, (and not into needles) chose to make my own mock tattoo right there with my own pen as I sat writing in my sketchbook.

Ease: It's a State of Mind. I am so there.

BTW: within an hour of clearing my schedule, doing some restorative yoga, and getting some fresh air, I felt as if my body healed completely. Allowing me to actually enjoy my day off.

Note to self: Days off aren't just for when we feel "off".
