It is what it is

Right now I'm at the point in the creative process with The Blank Slate that lots of things are clear in my mind, but I cannot quite articulate them yet.

Does that make sense?

The best way I can explain this is that I can visualize the site as a whole concept, even through many of the specific details are fuzzy (like how the content is structured precisely, or what technology I will use).

The cool thing is, the web is meant to be a changing medium. So while I don't want to necessarily tinker to the point of accidentally misplacing/losing my RSS feed (which has happened before), things can change and move and adapt as the details come into focus.

The way I'm experiencing the vision / image for this website is like an undeveloped Polaroid photo. The picture has been snapped and spit out of the camera. Now there is the waiting for the image to appear. Right now the image is cloudy grey/white, murky.

I trust the details will emerge.
If I admitted to you that this is how I wrote The Creative Entrepreneur on a 3-month deadline with myriad limiting factors, you might wonder how I pulled that off. The answer to that is in Creative Practice (link will lead you to my other website).

My business partner, JR, showed up at our meeting today wearing a t-shirt imprinted with the phrase:

It is what it is

Which is probably a better way of expressing where both lisasonorabeam (the dot com) and Lisa Sonora Beam (the person) are, in this moment.
