Blank Slate Begins

Today begins something radically new.

A live website alignment.

A blank slate.

All the former content / links / comments / backlinks are gone.

I've let it all go. In order to create something new.

It's something I've been wanting to do for ages. But felt stuck / stalled / stymied:

  1. There was never the "right time" to do it. Life and other business pushed this so far off my to-do list.
  2. There never was the "right way" to do it. Perfectionism lead to the dead-end road called analysis paralysis.
  3. The "right place" to do it? I could have done this all in private, like a normal person, on a staging site.
But. Those Big But's (see items 1 & 2, above) got in my way.

So. We are here. Now. Confronting the Blank Slate.

If you arrived here because you followed a link, sorry about that. Feel free to connect with me and let me know what you were looking for, it might show up in another form and I'll let you know.

How about you? What do you have to let go of in order to *really* create something new?

You can ponder that for yourself or send me an email if you want to let me know.

When I figure out how to add the Google + thing, that will be an option, too.

About this Blank Slate project:
This project is inspired by Gwen Bell (whom I have evangelized, here #27, as my secret weapon). Gwen has seriously kicked my ass (with kindness) during our private consult, and now I'm participating in her awesome program, Align Your Site. 'Cuz I needed some more ass-kicking accountability to DO this, after thinking about doing it for a whole year.

Gwen is encouraging participants to write everyday (not necessarily publish) during the program, which runs from September 1 through November 30, 2011. The posts you see in this series are what I'm willing to share in public about my process.
